Rumor has it that Fat Head's Brewery will be opening a new Portland location sometime in Spring 2014. The reports have it being a 13,000 sq ft facility "about 2 blocks" from Deschutes and Rogue. That doesn't leave too many options so we are excited to learn more.
[Update: 6-7-2013] My request for more information has gone unanswered, so we will update if/when we hear anyhing.

The venerable John Harris is taking the plunge and opening a new brewpub in north Portland. The build out will be taking place over the next few months with a targeted open date in the Fall.

The New Old Lompoc may be gone, but the new Lompoc Tavern will strive to take its place. A brand new building will house the new pub and hopefully some of the character of the original will carry over. I look forward to visiting the new digs when they open sometime in May.

[3/13/2013] Another in a string of recent announcements for brewery taprooms. Three Mugs Brewing is a new brewery born from a local home brew supply store, Brew Brothers in Hillsboro. Brew Brothers is my preferred home brew store, so I'm very excited for Jay, Chris, and the whole Jennings family to get their new venture going. I was in the shop this last weekend, getting the ingredients for my ESB I just brewed on Sunday, and was asking when they expect to open. They already have their OLCC Liquor Licence for beer and wine, and they plan to have the taproom open serving guest taps by the and of April. Later in the spring/summer they plan to have the brew equipment setup and hope to get the brewing license as quickly as they can.

The latest addition to the local beer scene, Uptown Market is the first brewery in Beaverton. I look forward to following the progress and visiting often!

Like most taprooms they do not have food, so don't come hungry, bur rather just thirsty! 21 and over only.
